Protecting Equipment. Enhancing Safety. Empowering People.

Dr. S. PALANIAPPAN brings over four decades of pioneering research in polymer science. As a retired Chief Scientist from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, with a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, his expertise spans advanced conducting polymer-based materials.
His research portfolio includes breakthrough developments in coatings, batteries, supercapacitors, sensors, solar cells, LEDs, drug delivery, and water purification. Now, this wealth of knowledge powers SVB SAFE ESD Paints—a revolutionary approach to electrostatic discharge protection.

SVB SAFE ESD Paints can be applied to virtually any surface, creating ESD-protected products at resistance levels from 10³ to 10⁸ ohm/sq. Our coatings work seamlessly on wood, plastic, metal, leather, mats, and walls—delivering consistent protection in various colors.

From HIPS sheets, decolum sheets, L-folders, wood, PU foam, brush, and mild steel—our coatings deliver consistent ESD protection in brown, black, blue, green, ash, and custom colors.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) is the sudden flow of electricity between two electrically charged objects. Static electricity builds up when surfaces rub together, creating an excess of electrons on one surface and a deficiency on the other. This everyday phenomenon poses serious risks across industries.
Electric charges created when two materials contact and separate
Charged objects placed near conductive materials isolated from ground
Contact with other charged objects transfers electrical energy
Static electricity creates severe productivity, quality, and safety problems throughout industry. As electrostatic attraction or repulsion, it generates dust contamination and product misbehavior. As discharge, it delivers shocks to operators, ignites fires, and destroys millions of electronic components annually.
From thunderstorm-level discharges to low-intensity sparks that ignite flammable materials
Destroys sensitive components, causing millions in losses across manufacturing
Operator shocks, explosions, and damage to life-critical equipment

Protecting sensitive components during assembly, testing, and packaging operations
Ensuring safety in cleanrooms and sensitive equipment environments
Preventing contamination and product damage during production processes
Safeguarding products during storage, handling, and transportation
Controlling static during fiber processing and fabric manufacturing
Managing static electricity in high-speed paper processing operations
SVB SAFE ESD Paints represent a paradigm shift in electrostatic discharge protection. Unlike conventional ESD coatings that rely on carbon, metals, or metal oxides, this polymer-based innovation delivers superior performance across all metrics.
